What Is the Access to Work Grant?

The Access to Work grant is a UK government-funded program that provides financial support to disabled and neurodivergent individuals, including self-employed business owners, to help them succeed in their work. If you have ADHD, dyslexia, autism, or another condition that makes running your business more challenging, this grant can fund support services, tools, and adjustments to help you work more effectively.

Access to Work is available to employees and business owners with a physical or a mental health condition that affects their ability to work. If you’re a neurodivergent business owner, this grant can help you with:

Depending on your needs, the grant can fund:

• A support worker (like me!) to help with admin, scheduling, email management, invoicing, and structuring your business.

• Specialist software and tools to improve focus, memory, and organisation.

• Coaching and mentoring to help develop ADHD-friendly work strategies.

• Travel and workplace adjustments to make your business easier to manage.

If Access to Work approves your application for business admin support, you can choose me as your support worker, and the grant will fully cover the cost of my services—meaning you won’t pay out of your own pocket.

• Pricing: £399 (discounted for package).

Package 3: Comprehensive Support

• What’s Included:

  • Everything from Packages 1 & 2, plus:

    • Assessment Support: Guidance on preparing for the assessment and help with communication during the process.

    • Claims Assistance: Support with completing claims for reimbursements once the grant is approved.

  • Ongoing updates and communication with DWP as needed.

• Who’s it for?:

  • Individuals who want end-to-end support through every stage of the Access to Work process.

• Pricing: £699 (discounted for package).

Hourly Rate for Custom Support

• For clients needing bespoke or additional support, I offer services at an hourly rate of £37/hour or Retained Packages.
